A commission piece for the mayor of Sudbury. Made with Poplar Lombardy, mild and stainless steel, complemented with an acrylic pour. The timber was sourced from a house in Ipswich, cut down from the owner’s garden.

The clients wanted a unique, unprecedented piece, with a range of materiality, whilst maintaining a relationship with the natural elements. The stainless steel plate which sits on the 8mm toughened glass hides the fixing that ties the whole table together, keeping the continuity of the design and making it structurally sound.
